Teaching Ethos
Through my teaching I endeavour to give every student the means, the skills and the drive to accomplish their own journey learning the harp. Whether this be personal or on a more professional level I aim to approach every student’s needs individually. Learning the harp is challenging but so rewarding and I love to be able to help people of all ages find the joy in learning such a magical instrument.
Teaching Biography
Holly teaches harp privately, both adult and children, at her home studio in East London. She has put students through both Trinity and ABRSM exams and also theory exams up to Grade 5. She has also coached students through Music GCSE, covering both the solo and chamber aspects.
Testimonials
"Holly is an incredible teacher and now, after 7+ years of lessons, friend. As an adult student, I practice harp
for relaxation and enjoyment - Holly tailors my curriculum according to my preferences while ensuring that I build my skills over time. Not only is she a talented harpist, but lessons with her are nothing short of a treat
- in fact, they’re the highlight of my month!"
- Rachel Chalmers
"‘Holly has been my daughter's harp teacher for the past 8 years and she is simply brilliant - she's got exactly the right mix of discipline, encouragement and fun that keeps my daughter motivated to practise and look forward to every lesson. Holly has supported and coached her brilliantly through all her harp exams and performances and been so incredibly helpful with advice on buying and looking after a harp. With
Holly as her teacher my daughter feels confident to take on her music GCSE's. We have recommended her to loads of people!!"
